[Tribute to Wolf's Rain]
Even if the ending was distubring...Wolf's Rain is now currently my favourite series. Not only does it look into the human heart, it goes into the details of peoples lives, and the world in general. it focus' on the issues of our world today, and a made up world that mirrors our own. u cant find a favourite character, 'cause they're all unique and *cool* in their own way, depicting ordinary people in our society and with problems and emotions a normal person would have. one thing is that it brings out the spirit within us...a never ending search for rakuen...(paradise) which can also mean our happiness. a major attraction is how it also shows very old style beliefs, like referances to the natives. this series' main characters are depiticted as wolves, outcasts without anything to loose. therefore, they drop everything and go on a soul search...finding much, and little. (~!paradox!~) now...it also makes references like: "A manufactured paradise...there is no future in that..." and "Creating paradise in a cursed world...is meaningless."
so much symbloism in this series, i gotta watch it over again. still dont quite understand...does it express the human need to find truth? to find..."paradise"? there is no short-cut to paradise...k, i just finished watching the ending of the last eps again, now...i really do think they'll have a sequal, they have a lot of things unexplained...if not, guess im watching the whole series again...;-; ne wayz...please do watch wolf's rain, it *is* a good series, and after much reflection ii find i can learn a lot from it...here's the ED...read it and weep...:)
Ending Song
Performed by: Maaya Sakamoto
Lyrics: troy
Composition, Arrangement: Youko Kanno
[been a long road to follow
been there and gone tomorrow
without saying goodbye to yesterday
are the memories I hold still valid?
or have the tears deluded them?
maybe this time tomorrow
the rain will cease to follow
and the mist will fade into one more today
something somewhere out there keeps calling
am I going home?
will I hear someone singing solace to the silent moon?
zero gravity what's it like?
am I alone?
is somebody there beyond these heavy aching feet
still the road keeps on telling me to go on
something is pulling me
I feel the gravity of it all]
